Former West Mercia Police staff member pleads guilty to misconduct in public office

A former West Mercia Police staff member has pleaded guilty to two counts misconduct in public office.

Tom Poole, 37, who was a police community support officer based in Redditch Safer Neighbourhood Team, appeared Telford Crown Court today charged with three counts of misconduct in public office.

Police say the third count of misconduct in public office will not proceed.

The charges relate to an investigation into suspected inappropriate relationships with three victims.

West Mercia Police say he had since resigned from the force.

Poole is due to be sentenced on 27 February.
