Drugs warrant executed in Evesham after concerns over dealing
No arrests were made but a man was detained while officers searched an address
A drugs warrant has been executed at an address in Evesham after concerns were raised about suspected dealing in the area.
Officers from the Evesham town centre team carried out the warrant on the morning of Friday 25th September, according to West Mercia Police.
The address was in the Evesham north area, the force said.
Man detained during search
Police used powers under the Misuse of Drugs Act to attend the address and detained a man while searches were carried out.
The searches were negative and no arrests were made, according to West Mercia Police.
The force said the Evesham town centre team remain committed to carrying out this type of operation to address concerns about drug misuse, anti-social behaviour and organised crime.
Police vow to continue disruption
Police Sergeant Duncan Eades said: "Intelligence-led operations such as this are a vital part of our ongoing work to address concerns raised by local communities and disrupt suspected drug dealing enterprises.
"Although not every warrant leads to immediate enforcement action, each operation helps us build a clearer picture of criminal activity in our communities and reinforces our commitment to keeping neighbourhoods safe.
"We will continue to work tirelessly to disrupt local drug networks and protect the people who live and work in our communities."
Members of the public can report suspected criminality via the West Mercia Police website.
