Emergency services rescue man from river in Hereford
A police presence will remain in the area throughout the day
Emergency services were called to the Nelson Street area of Hereford yesterday morning (16 November) after reports that a person had entered the river.
Police officers arrived at the scene alongside teams from the ambulance service and fire and rescue service.
At around 10.10am, crews located a man in the water, who was safely brought out and taken to hospital for treatment.
A police presence will remain in the area throughout the day as enquiries continue to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Officers are appealing for anyone with information who has not yet spoken to police to come forward.
