Damage to a water pipe by a "third-party" has left some homes in Hereford without water.

Welsh Water said the damage has affected some properties in the Holme Lacy Road area and crews worked hard this morning (January 6) to "get a number of properties back on supply"

A spokesperson for the company said plans are being made "to carry out a full repair to the damaged pipe."

They added that water supplies are expected to be "fully restored" by "later this afternoon" or "early evening" and in the meantime they are delivering bottled water to vulnerable customers.
