Child taken to hospital after suspected arson attack in Worcester

They were taken as a precaution but suffered no injuries.

Police are investigating an incident of suspected arson in Worcester after a fire broke out at a house with a child inside.

Emergency services were called to the blaze on Brookthorpe Close yesterday (25 August) at around 11am.

Three people were inside the property, including a child, and were taken to hospital as a precaution but suffered no injuries.

It was reported that a person dressed in all black and wearing a black face covering was seen near the address.

The incident is now being treated as arson.

No arrests have yet been made.

Officers are asking for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
