Bird flu has been confirmed in commercial poultry near Hallow in the Malvern Hills.
The H5N1 strain was identified over the weekend, with a three kilometre protection zone and a ten kilometre surveillance zone now in force around the site.
All birds at the affected farm will be humanely culled to stop the spread.
In their statement on November 8th, Defra said: "Highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) H5N1 was confirmed in commercial poultry near Hallow, Malvern Hills, Worcestershire.
"A 3km protection zone and 10km surveillance zone has been declared around the premises.
"All poultry on the premises will be humanely culled."
