The wait for the fourth peregrine chick at Worcester Cathedral goes on.

Three out of the four eggs have hatched so far, with parents Peggy and Peter returning to the city for the fourth year in a row.

Chris Dobbs is the cathedral's peregrines expert, he says it could still hatch yet but it wouldn't be unusual if it didn't.

"We have this unhatched egg and it's getting a little bit late I'm afraid," he said.

"There's just a chance it might hatch so we'll be waiting a few more days, but there's a likelihood that it might not and that does happen.

"It happens across nature and with peregrines across the UK and of course we've been very lucky in recent years to have four eggs, she's done very well, but we'll see how this fourth one goes as there's all sorts of reasons why one might not hatch."

The first egg hatched on Easter Sunday, with the other two following shortly after earlier this week.
