Immingham likely to bid for "freeport status".
The bidding process opens this week.
It's thought Immingham will be one of the places trying to gain 'Freeport Status' now the bidding process has opened.
It's understood there'll be 7 areas given the special status, possibly starting as early as next year
If successful there'll be a reduction of 'red tape' for businesses and it's thought many jobs could be created as a result
The MP for Cleethorpes Martin Vickers has previously spoken on the issue saying it would be a huge boost for the area
