Woman in her 80s dies after being hit by car in Bibury
Police are asking for witnesses and dashcam footage
A woman in her 80s has died after being hit by a car in Bibury this afternoon.
Emergency services were called to Arlington Pike in the Cotswolds just before 12.10pm on 10th December following reports of a collision involving a pedestrian and a car.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Her next of kin have been informed and are being supported by police officers.
The driver of the car, a man also in his 80s, was taken to Great Western Hospital in Swindon for assessment.
Several road closures at Arlington Pike, including the junctions for the B4425, Grove View and Hay Lane, remain in place while emergency services are at the scene.
Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage from the area at the time to get in touch.
