Woman, 79, dies after crash near Stonehouse
A 34-year-old man from Gloucester has been arrested in connection with the collision

A 79-year-old woman has died after a serious collision near Stonehouse.
Emergency services responded to reports of a collision between a green Nissan Micra and a grey Vauxhall Astra on the B4008 Gloucester Road in Standish at around 12.55pm this afternoon (March 30).
The driver of the Nissan Micra, a 79-year-old woman from Gloucester, was treated by paramedics at the scene but died from her injuries.
Her next of kin has been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.
The driver of the Vauxhall Astra, a 34-year-old man also from Gloucester, has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, driving without a licence, and driving without insurance.
He remains in police custody.
The B4008 Gloucester Road remains closed between the junction for the Javelin Park incinerator and Horsemarling Lane while investigations take place.
