Severn Trent have apologised to customers in Gloucester still experiencing disruption to their water supplies due to a burst pipe.

It says its teams have now stopped the burst in Matson, but works to fix the pipe are still ongoing.

It happened yesterday, shooting thousands of litres of water and debris up into the air.

In an update this morning (15 May), bosses at the water firm said: "Following on from our previous update, we are very sorry if you are still experiencing no supply, poor pressure or discoloured water in the GL3 and GL4 areas of Matson due to the burst water pipe on Winnycroft Lane.

"Our teams have now stopped the burst in Matson. Our priority will now be to keep your water supply on as we continue working to fix the pipe.

"Whilst our repair continues, you may notice tankers around the area. These are being used to move water around our network.

"We are very sorry for any inconvenience this may be causing and thank you for your patience during this time.

"We’ll make sure this page is updated as we receive more information."
