Road closed after collision between bus and car in Shurdington

Drivers are being advised to use alternative routes

The A46 in Shurdington has been closed after a collision involving a bus and a car this afternoon (February 2nd).

Emergency Services were called to the scene on Shurdington Road near the Church Lane junction at around 1.30pm.

Paramedics assessed those involved at the scene.

Police say the National Grid are at the scene and have shut off power while the bus is recovered.

This is to allow a damaged lamp post to be made safe and properties around 100 metres from the scene will be temporarily affected.

The road remains closed been closed and drivers are being urged to avoid the area and use alternative routes.

Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.
