Police seek victims after series of assaults in Cheltenham town centre
Woman arrested following incidents involving multiple people
A woman has been arrested in relation to multiple assaults in Cheltenham town centre on 1st June, and police are asking additional victims to come forward.
Between 1pm and 4pm, officers received reports that several people had been assaulted by an unknown woman on High Street.
Among the incidents, the woman reportedly grabbed a mother and child outside Poundland, pushed over an elderly woman outside McDonald's, kicked a man, and took someone's glasses.
She continued down the High Street and punched a man in the face twice at the junction of Bath Road and Cedar Court Road.
The suspect, a woman in her 30s from Winchcombe, was arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and remains in police custody.
While several victims have been identified, police are seeking three individuals yet to come forward: a jogger who was pushed, a man who was kicked, and a person whose glasses might have been taken.
Officers are also interested in hearing from any others targeted during the incident to ensure their safety and aid the investigation.
