Police investigate serious collision near Brierley

Police are appealing for information, after a serious collision in the Forest of Dean yesterday morning (Monday 4 May).

Emergency services were called at around 1.15am with a report of a collision involving a single vehicle on the A4136 near Brierley. The vehicle had come off the road and rolled.

A man and a woman who had both been in the vehicle were airlifted to Southmead Hospital in Bristol, where the woman remains in a serious condition.

Road closures were in place between High Beech Road and New Road to allow for a collision investigation to take place and re-opened at around 6.50pm.

Officers would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed any cars driving in the area at the time, or may have relevant dashcam footage.
