Police given extra time to question two teenagers after suspected murder in Cheltenham

Police investigating the death of a man in Cheltenham on Tuesday have been given more time to question two teenage boys arrested on suspicion of murder.
Detectives now have until tomorrow (December 19) afternoon to question the two boys, after Magistrates granted them a custody extension today (Thursday 18 December),
The boys, aged 15 and 17, were arrested in connection with the suspected stabbing of a man in the St Paul's area of Cheltenham on Tuesday (December 16).
A man from the town, was also arrested, has since been released with no further action being taken against him.
Three other people from Cheltenham who were arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender have been released on bail while enquires continue.
An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident is ongoing.
Police say examinations of various scenes will continue over the next few days, including parts of Pittville Park, where cordons are in place.
