Police called to A40 after serious crash
Diversions are in place
Police have closed the A40 at the Northleach Roundabout after a serious crash.
It happened earlier this morning (18 July).
Officers say it's due to be shut 'for some time'.
In a statement, Gloucestershire Police said: "Road closures are in place on the A40 between Northleach and Burford following a serious collision in the early hours of this morning (Friday).
"The A40 London Road is closed at the Northleach roundabout with the A429 heading eastbound towards Burford.
"Motorists who are not in heavy goods vehicles can divert through Northleach, however due to a 7.5 tonne weight restriction, this route is not permitted for heavy goods vehicles and drivers of these vehicles will need to use other routes.
"The road is expected to remain closed for some time."
