Police appeal after suspected arson in Brockworth

Police are appealing for witnesses to a suspected arson which took place in Brockworth over the weekend.

Gloucestershire Police was called by Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service at around 8.15pm on Sunday (9 August 2026) with a report that grass, shrubbery and hedges off Regent Close had been set on fire.

Fire crews attended and extinguished the fire, which officers say is believed to have been started deliberately by a group of teenagers.

Investigating officers would now like to hear from anyone who witnessed what happened.

In particular they would like to hear from two females who were in the area and may be able to help with the investigation. They were described as being under 18 and wearing the below outfits:

• Blue shorts, a white t-shirt and black Adidas trainers
• Black trousers, a black top, a pink handbag and white trainers
