Police appeal after man attacked by dog

A dog believed to be an XL Bully attacked a man in Tewkesbury.

The victim was reported to have been bitten during the incident on Gander Lane, close to the cricket club, at around 9.40pm on Monday 21 July.

He suffered bites to his arms and legs which required treatment at hospital.

The force said the owner of the dog is described as being "white, around 5ft 7ins in height, and of a stocky build. He was in his 30s and was believed to be wearing a pale T-shirt."
