Motorists warned of delays as heavy loads travel through Gloucestershire UPDATE
Police have updated the details of their escort of an electrical transformer from Sharpness to Brockworth.
Gloucestershire Police say that following a meeting with agencies today, it has been agreed that the movement of large abnormal loads planned for tomorrow (Friday 27 March) and the following week will be postponed.
Under the revised plans, a large electrical transformer and various ancillary components with weights exceeding 600 tonnes, will now travel from Sharpness Docks to Brockworth overnight from Tuesday 7 April.
They also say smaller loads will still be escorted by police this weekend, on both Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 March, but these loads will be moving more quickly.
