Motorcyclist seriously injured in crash

A motorcyclist has been left seriously injured following a collision in Gloucester.

Police were called shortly after 3.35pm today (17 July) after the rider of a motorbike was found injured. Officers believed they had been involved in a collision.

The man, aged in his 50s, was airlifted to Southmead Hospital for treatment.

Painswick Road was closed between the Eastern Avenue roundabout and Chequers Road to allow a collision investigation to take place.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who witnessed what happened.

They are keen to speak to anyone who saw an off road scrambler style motorbike riding along Painswick Road before the collision, or who has dashcam footage they feel is relevant.
