Motorcyclist dies in Temple Guiting collision

A man from Worcestershire has been arrested

A man has been arrested in connection with the death of a motorcyclist last night (Wednesday) and police are appealing for witnesses, as part of their investigation.

Emergency services were called shortly after 7.30pm, to a report of a collision at the Trafalgar Crossroads near the B4077 in Temple Guiting.

It involved a grey Honda CB650R motorcycle and a white Volkswagen transporter panel van.

The rider of the motorcycle, a man aged in his 20s, was pronounced dead.

His family has been informed and is being supported by specially trained officers.

The driver of the van, a man aged in his 20s and from Worcestershire, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving in connection with the collision.

He remains in police custody and is due to be questioned by officers.

Several roads were closed, to allow a collision investigation to take place and have since reopened.

Investigating officers are now appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision, saw either of the vehicles driving in the area or has any relevant dashcam footage to get in contact.
