Police have released an image of man who they want to speak to in connection with a suspected racially aggravated assault in Gloucester.

It follows a report that a man had racially abused another man before hitting him and a woman in the face during a suspected road rage attack.

The suspect was described as being bald and wearing a green under armour shirt and shorts (see below).

The incident happened at around 6.15pm on Tuesday 24 June.

A man, who was driving a grey transit van, was reported to have tailgated another vehicle between Kingsholm and St Oswalds.

When he was challenged at the car park over his driving by a man driving a third vehicle, he got out of the van and shouted racist abuse at him.

He then punched both the man sitting in the third vehicle, and the female driver of the car he had been following, in the face before getting into his own vehicle and driving off. The two victims were left with cuts to their lips.

Anyone who recognises the description of the man or has any other information which they believe to be relevant is asked to contact Gloucestershire Police
