Man suffers broken jaw after assault in Cheltenham

Police are appealing for witnesses

A 22-year-old man has suffered a broken jaw after being assaulted by a group of men in Cheltenham.

Gloucestershire Police say the attack took place outside Home and Botanic on St George's Road at around 4:53 am on Saturday, 14th March.

The victim's injuries required surgery and will necessitate another operation in a few months.

Officers are requesting witnesses who may have seen the attack or have information regarding those involved to come forward.

Authorities have reviewed CCTV footage that shows a group associated with the incident but have not been able to offer any descriptions.

Individuals with information are encouraged to contact the police online, quoting incident 101 of 18th March, or report anonymously via Crimestoppers.

Crimestoppers offers anonymity and possibly a reward of up to ÂŁ1,000 for useful information.
