Man in his 40s seriously injured after collision in Cotswolds

Police are now appealing for witnesses

A man in his 40s is in hospital with serious injuries after a collision in the Cotswolds.

Emergency services were called to reports of a two-vehicle collision at the junction of Spratsgate Lane and Ewen Road, near Shorncote at around 8.10pm yesterday (23 June).

Police say the collision involved a blue Peugeot Rifter van and a silver Volkswagen Golf.

The van's driver, a man in his 40s, sustained serious injuries and was transported to Southmead Hospital in Bristol for treatment, where he remains.

Two other people involved in the collision were taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital s a precaution

Road closures were in place while emergency services remained at the scene but reopened late last night.

Investigating officers are now appealing for any witnesses and anyone with CCTV and dashcam footage to contact them.
