Man in his 40s dies after collision near Cotswolds town

Investigating officers are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage

A man in his 40s has died after a collision near a Cotswolds town yesterday (12 August).

Emergency services were called at around 4.40pm to a report of a collision on the A429 Fosseway in Northleach near to The Old Prison.

The collision involved a green and black Kawasaki ZX900 motorcycle, a white Scania tipper lorry and a grey Nissan Juke.

Police say the rider of the motorbike - a man in his 40s, from the Cotswolds, was treated by paramedics at the scene but passed away from his injuries.

His family have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.

The A429 from the Northleach Roundabout to the Old Prison Crossroads was closed while a collision investigation took place and has since reopened.

Investigating officers are now appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or has any relevant dashcam footage to get in contact them
