A man in his 80s has been seriously injured in a crash in Stroud, with a female driver arrested.

The collision on Dudbridge Road, near Lidl, happened at around 3.00pm yesterday (Thursday 22nd May).

A black Ford Fiesta and a mobility scooter were involved - with the man from the scooter still in a serious but stable condition at Bristol's Southmead Hospital.

A woman in her 20s and from Surrey was arrested at the scene, on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, driving whilst unfit, having no insurance and no MOT.

She's since been released under investigation.

There's now an appeal for witnesses, especially those with dashcam footage from the area, to contact Gloucestershire Police.
