Man dies following two-vehicle collision on A417 in Birdlip
Police are appealing for witnesses following fatal crash involving a car transporter and a Honda Civic

A man has died following a two-vehicle collision on the A417 Birdlip bypass on this morning (1 February).
Emergency services were called to the scene at around 9.40am after reports of a collision involving a car transporter and a Honda Civic.
The driver of the Honda Civic, a man in his 40s from Gloucester, suffered serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Four passengers of the car, two women and two young children, were taken to hospital in Bristol for treatment to their injuries. One woman remains in a serious condition at Southmead Hospital.Â
The driver of the car transporter was assessed by paramedics at the scene and did not sustain any serious injuries.
A number of road closures will remain for several hours while a full collision investigation is carried out.
The affected routes include the A417 in both directions between Cirencester and Gloucester, including the Air Balloon roundabout, the M5 Junction 11a slip road, the B4070 Buckholt Road junction and the Twelve Bells junction.
Investigating officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or has relevant dashcam footage to come forward in order to support their investigation.
