Emergency services were called at around 10pm yesterday (Tuesday 25 November) to the B4425 between Aldsworth and Burford.
Officers located a Mercedes-Benz SLK which had left the road and despite their best efforts a man, aged in his 20s, from West Oxfordshire, died at the scene.
A 19-year-old man sustained injuries which are believed to be serious, but not life-threatening, and he was taken to John Radcliffe Hospital by paramedics.
Police say he remains there today (Wednesday) for treatment.
