Man dies after collision on A4174 in Longwell Green

Avon and Somerset Police are appealing for information

Police are requesting witnesses and dashcam footage following a fatal collision on the A4174 in Longwell Green, near Bristol, on Wednesday, 14th January.

Emergency services were called to the scene between Wraxall Road and Marsham Way just after 5.20pm that evening.

A man was pronounced dead at the scene after being hit by a car. While formal identification has not yet taken place, the man’s next of kin have been informed and are being supported.

The A4174 was closed for investigation and vehicle recovery and reopened by 2.40am on Thursday, 15th January.

Police are encouraging anyone with dashcam footage recorded on this stretch of road between 4.45pm and 5.20pm, or anyone who may have information about how the man came to be in the road, to get in touch.
