Man dies after collision on A417 in Birdlip
Police are appealing for anyone who was there to contatnt them
A man has died following a car collision on the A417 in Birdlip, and police are now appealing for information and dashcam footage.
The crash happened on 1st February at around 9.40am and involved a car transporter and a Honda Civic on the Birdlip bypass.
The driver of the Honda Civic, a man in his 40s from Gloucester, suffered serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. His family has been informed and is being supported by specialist officers.
Three passengers in the car—a woman and two young children—were taken to hospital in Bristol to be treated for their injuries.
The driver of the car transporter was assessed by paramedics but did not sustain serious injuries.
Investigating officers are asking for anyone who saw the collision or has relevant dashcam footage to share this information with police.
