Man allegedly waved machete at members of the public in Cinderford

Police in Gloucestershire are investigating reports a man was seen waving a machete and shouting at members of the public.

Officers are appealing for witnesses to the alleged incident on Valley Road in Cinderford, on Saturday 29 October, between 10.30am and 10.35am.

The man was reportedly seen getting out of a silver Mercedes with a machete-like blade, which he then began to wave about aggressively and was seen shouting in the street at members of the public.

It is said to have lasted for around five minutes before the man then got back into the vehicle and drove away.

The vehicle had the personalised registration L3YPC.

The man was described as white, bald, short and of average build, wearing blue jeans.

One man arrested in connection with the incident has since been release on police bail with conditions.

Investigating officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward.
