M5 closed near Cheltenham after lorry fire
The northbound and southbound carriageways have been closed between junctions 11 and 9 while firefighters tackle the blaze
Part of the M5 in Gloucestershire has been closed after a lorry carrying wood chippings caught fire this afternoon.
Emergency services were called shortly after 5:35pm this afternoon to the blaze near Junction 10 (Cheltenham).
Police say both the northbound and southbound carriageways have been closed between junctions 11 and 9 while Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service work to extinguish the blaze.
The closure is expected to remain in place for several hours and motorists are being asked to avoid the area.
