Lib Dem elected to Cotswold District Council in The Beeches by-election
Paul Evans wins The Beeches ward by-election, continuing the Liberal Democrats' majority
Liberal Democrat candidate Paul Evans has been elected as the new councillor for The Beeches ward on Cotswold District Council.
The election took place on 12th March 2026 following the resignation of previous councillor Nigel Robbins.
With a voter turnout of 33.8%, residents of The Beeches ward cast their votes to select their new representative for the district council.
Paul Evans will join 22 other Liberal Democrat councillors, who hold the majority in Cotswold District Council, alongside 10 Conservative councillors, 1 Green Party councillor, and 1 Independent.
Evans will begin his work immediately, collaborating with fellow councillors to address the interests of The Beeches ward and broader Cotswold district issues.
