Investigation into stolen plant machinery leads to arrests and a man being charged

He will appear before magistrates today

A man has been charged and five others been arrested and more than three-hundred-thousand pounds of stolen plant machinery seized in a crackdown on rural crime.

Police recovered excavators, dumper trucks and a lorry across Gloucestershire and Herefordshire.

35 year-old William Preston, of Wyndbrook Lane, Gloucestershire, is charged with handling stolen goods, namely a dumper truck to the value of £18,000.

He was remanded to appear before Kidderminster Magistrates Court.
