New training salon in Gloucester honours Hollie Gazzard’s legacy
Collaborative salon initiative to offer vocational and relationship education
A brand-new hair salon is opening in Gloucester city centre as a tribute to the late Hollie Gazzard, a hairdresser tragically murdered at her workplace 12 years ago.
The salon, named ‘Hollie’s at Bridge Training Ltd,’ represents a partnership between the Hollie Gazzard Trust and local alternative education provider Bridge Training Ltd.
Situated on Westgate Street, the 12-seat salon aims to provide vocational training in hairdressing and beauty therapy, alongside education on healthy relationships and the warning signs of abusive behaviour.
Set to open its doors to the public in September 2026, the salon will function as both a working space for hair and beauty services and a classroom for developing professional skills.
The initiative seeks not only to equip young people with industry skills but also to empower them with the knowledge to respond appropriately to disclosures of domestic abuse from clients.
This ambitious project holds significant sentimental value for Hollie Gazzard’s family. Her parents, Mandy and Nick, along with her sister Chloe, expressed their pride over the impactful legacy Hollie’s name will have in education and community safety.
The partnership between the Hollie Gazzard Trust and Bridge Training Ltd highlights a blend of vocational excellence with vital life education.
Public appointments will be available from September 2026, with every visit helping to support the next generation of hair and beauty professionals trained under Hollie’s name.
