Man dies after two lorries collide on the A40
A man in his 30s died at the scene.
A man has died following a collision between two lorries on the A40 near Northleach in the early hours of this morning.
Police were called out to reports of the collision at around 12.50am and attended the scene along with the fire and ambulance services. One of the drivers, a man in his 30s, died at the scene. The other driver was taken to hospital but has since been released.
A man aged in his 50s was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. He remains in custody for questioning.
Police say the A40 London Road is closed at the Northleach roundabout with the A429 heading eastbound towards Burford. The road is expected to remain closed until later today.
