Fundraiser launched for Gloucester family after devastating house fire
Community support sought for family rebuilding after losing possessions

A fundraising effort is underway to assist a Gloucester family who lost everything in a devastating house fire on 12th August.
The fire, which started when sunlight reflected off a glass garden table, spread rapidly from the garden into the family’s Tredworth home, leaving Millie, her children Darcie and Ellis, and their dog Fred without their possessions.
While the family escaped unharmed, they face the difficult challenge of rebuilding their lives without contents insurance to cover their lost belongings, children's items, and everyday essentials.
Organised by friends, the fundraiser aims to raise £3,000 to provide essential support as Millie, who works as a Senior Care Support Worker, temporarily stays with family and friends pending housing support.
Darcie's sixth birthday on 25th August saw the loss of her presents in the blaze, and with the new school year approaching, the campaign seeks to restore stability and normalcy for the family.
To bolster their efforts, Millie has applied to the Gloucestershire Crisis & Resilience Fund and is awaiting their decision.
The organisers appeal for contributions, stressing that every donation counts, and even sharing the fundraiser within local communities would be invaluable.
