Gloucestershire Police appeal for dog owner to come forward after woman is bitten
The woman was left with puncture wounds on her arm after the attack
Gloucestershire Police are appealing for the owner of a dog to come forward after it attacked a woman in Bishop's Cleeve.
Officers were alerted to an incident taking place on West Way just after 8pm on August 24th, after two women were affronted with the dog as they walked their own dog.
The suspect's dog appeared to then attack one of the women, leaving her with puncture wounds to her arm. It also attacked their own dog.
The owner of the suspect dog failed to check on how the victim was following the incident and walked away with the dog.
Officers are now appealing to the dog owner to give a statement on what happened during the altercation.
Police have described the man they wish to speak to as being white, 5ft 8ins tall and was in his early 30s. He was of a medium build and had light brown hair with stubbly facial hair.
The dog responsible for the bites is believed to be a Bull Terrier breed, and was blonde in colour.
Police are also interested in speaking with anyone who may have been in the area at the time of the attack to get in touch as soon as possible to give evidence on what they saw.
Those who may have any information get in touch by calling 101 and quoting incident reference number 385 form August 24th.
