Work on gas pipes in Stroud may cause disruption
The essential work may cause disruption for motorists in the area
Gas pipe upgrades are starting in the Horsley Hill area of Stroud with work expected to finish by the end of October.
Designed to ensure the continued safe and reliable flow of gas to homes and businesses, the project is part of a larger ÂŁ7.5 million investment across Gloucestershire.
As the work gets under way, traffic management will be in place, including multi-way lights at the junction of Horsley Hill and Narrowcut Lane.
Road closures may occur briefly, and motorists are advised to plan their travel times accordingly.
Wales & West Utilities Ryan Barkway is managing this work and said, ''We understand our work can cause disruption, but it is essential to maintain a resilient gas network that households and business can rely on every day.
While much of the gas network is out of sight, it plays a vital role in daily life – from heating homes to cooking meals and we know how important it is that gas is there when people need it.”
