Investigations are underway after a fire at a pub, believed to be the "oldest in Gloucestershire."
Emergency crews were called out to the Black Bear at Tewkesbury around 4pm yesterday after reports of smoking coming through the roof.
The 700 year old inn was closed through the evening yesterday and nobody is understood to have been hurt during the incident.
A spokesperson for Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service said:
"At 4pm yesterday (Tuesday 11 November), Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service were called to an incident at the Black Bear pub on High Street, Tewkesbury.
"Two fire engines attended, one from Cheltenham and one from Gloucester, supported by an aerial ladder platform.
"Firefighters used two hose reels, two jets and four breathing apparatus as part of the response.
"The High Street in Tewkesbury was closed to allow emergency services to work safely.
"The stop message was received at 6.55pm. The loft space of the building was 50% damaged by fire and 100% damaged by smoke."
