A grieving family has paid tribute to a “deeply loved” woman who died in a collision on Tuesday 30th December in the Forest of Dean.

Emergency services were called to Whitehall Lane in Rudford at 5.20pm following reports of a crash involving a blue Ford and a black Kia.

Suzanne Wilmot, a 60-year-old from Gloucester, was driving the Ford and suffered serious injuries. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

In a heartfelt tribute, Suzanne’s family said:

“It is with broken hearts that we share the loss of Sue Wilmot. A deeply loved Mum, Wife, Sister, Daughter, Aunt and Great Aunt.

“The number of family and friends who will miss her are a testament to how wonderful she was.

“She would do anything for others and was always making us laugh. We will treasure the memories we have of her and are grateful for the family time we all got to spend with her over Christmas.”

Investigations ongoing

An investigation into the collision continues, with police appealing for witness testimonies and dashcam footage that could shed light on the events leading up to the crash.

Anyone with information or footage is asked to get in contact by completing an online form and quoting incident 319 of 30 December.
