A dispersal order's been put in place by police in Gloucester.

It's been set-up after anti-social behaviour by teenagers at Abbeymead this weekend and is in place until midday on Tuesday (31 March).

The order allows police to break-up any groups of more than two people, if officers believe they're likely to cause trouble.

Anyone who comes back to the area within 48 hours can be arrested.

The Gloucestershire force says a number of youths have been identified from previous incidents and they're being spoken to along with parents and carers, the force says its increased the number of patrols locally too.

Inspector James O'Neill is from Gloucester Neighbourhood Policing Team, he said: "It is disappointing that we are continuing to see anti-social behaviour in Abbeymead, despite our previous warnings.

"We will not tolerate anyone who believes they can act above the law and have taken swift action to curb this irresponsible behaviour."
