Cyclist dies after collision in Cheltenham

A cyclist who sustained serious injuries in a collision in Cheltenham involving a bus has died.

It happened on Monday March 16th at around 8.50am on Prestbury Road, near to the junction with Whaddon Road and police continue to appeal for witnesses.

The female cyclist in her 30s died in hospital this week.

Gloucestershire police stated:

"The woman remained in hospital for treatment and died from her injuries on Tuesday evening (7 April). Her family are now being supported by specially trained officers.

The bus driver was not physically injured and there were no passengers on the bus at the time of the collision.

Officers from the Roads Policing Unit are continuing to investigate what happened and are asking anyone with information to come forward."
