Counterfeit notes used to buy mobile phone in Gloucester

Police have shared an image of a man they want to trace

Police in Gloucester believe counterfeit bank notes have been used to buy a mobile phone in the Tredworth area of the city.

It's reported a man went to a house at around 6.30pm on Saturday 15th March, and bought an iPhone advertised for sale on Facebook Marketplace.

Fake £20 notes were used in the incident, with the victim only releasing after the man had left.

Officers have shared an image of a man they want to trace in connection with what happened.
