Cheltenham man charged following reported stabbing

A man from Cheltenham has been charged in connection with a reported stabbing in the town yesterday morning.

William Keeling, a 22-year-old from Springbank, Cheltenham, faces charges of Section 18 wounding, possession of a bladed article, and Section 39 common assault.

The charges follow an incident shortly after 6am on Thursday, 16th July, in a car park on Rodney Road.

It was reported that Keeling stabbed another man during the altercation.

The victim remains in the hospital in a stable but serious condition.

Keeling has been remanded in custody and is expected to appear before Cheltenham Magistrates later today, 17th July.
