Police want to speak to man pictured
CCTV images have been released of a man police want to identify following the sexual assault of a teenage girl in Cadbury Heath.
The incident happened at around 4pm on Monday 1st December.
The victim, who is in her mid-teens, was walking along Tower Road South when a man approached her and sexually assaulted her before fleeing towards Cadbury Heath Skatepark.
Police described the man as being of mixed heritage, aged in his twenties or thirties, and of medium build. He had short black hair which was slightly curly, and at the time was wearing glasses, a cream jumper and white trainers.
Officers are continuing their investigation by reviewing CCTV footage and speaking to people in the area.
Appeal for information
PC Yestin Penalosa, who is investigating the case, said incidents like this are rare but are taken very seriously.
“We fully recognise how concerning incidents of this nature are. While they are very rare, we are treating this incredibly seriously and working to identify the man responsible.
“The victim is being supported by officers and we continue to keep her – and her family updated – as our investigation progresses.
“We hope that someone might recognise the man in these images and would urge anyone who does to get in contact with us.”
