Car theft in Berkeley leads police to launch witness appeal
A property was broken into by two masked men who stole car keys before taking the vehicle from the driveway

Police are appealing for information after car was stolen in Berkeley last week.
On Wednesday 22nd of July, it was reported that two unknown masked men attempted to break into a property in the Berrycroft area at 2.05am. They left after being disturbed.
They then returned at around 2.30am and forced entry to the property before stealing the keys to a Volkswagen Golf and a watch. The men then drove off in the car which was parked on the driveway.
According to doorbell footage from the property that has been examined by the police, the two men are both of a slim build. One of them was wearing a black tracksuit and a balaclava, while the other male was wearing a grey and black tracksuit and covering his face with a mask.
The stolen car was later found abandoned and damaged.
The men are believed to have used another car to travel to the area. Investigating officers are now appealing for anyone who may have seen the suspects described in a vehicle prior to the incident, to contact them.
Additionally, they'd like anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity in the area or has relevant dashcam, doorbell or CCTV footage, to get in touch.
