A man has been sentenced to three years in jail after committing a spate of burglaries across Worcestershire, Herefordshire and Gloucestershire.
Christopher Brown, of Denman Avenue in Cheltenham, appeared at Worcester Crown Court last Friday (20th of March), where he pleaded guilty to multiple counts of burglary.
The court heard how the 23-year-old targeted a number of properties, which caused distress to victims and significant disruption within local communities.
Brown admitted to breaking into properties in Ladywood in Droitwich, Church Road in Crowle, Ross on Wye, Tewkesbury and Moreton-in-Marsh between October last year and January.
Detective Constable Will Goode said: “The sentencing of Brown to three years reflects both the seriousness of his offending and the dedication of our team in bringing him to justice."
“With hard work and determination, we were able to quickly identify, arrest and place Brown before the court, ensuring a swift outcome in this case."
“Burglary is an intrusive crime that causes significant harm and distress to victims, as well as fear and disruption within the wider communities where these offences took place."
“I hope this sentence provides some reassurance to those affected and demonstrates that we will act decisively to protect our communities and hold offenders accountable.”
