Man seriously injured in collision on Barton Street in Gloucester

A 35-year-old sustained serious injuries and remains in hospital

A man has been seriously injured following a collision between a pedestrian and car on Barton Street, Gloucester last night, Tuesday 14 January.

The incident, which involved a Skoda, happened close to the junction with St James Street at around 11.10pm.

Emergency services were called and a 35-year-old man from Gloucester was taken to Southmead Hospital in Bristol after sustaining serious injuries and where he currently remains.

Barton Street was closed for a number of hours while collision investigators conducted an examination of the scene and a number of witnesses have been spoken to by officers. The road has since reopened.

Anyone with information who has not already spoken to police or who has CCTV or dashcam which they believe to be relevant is asked to contact Gloucestershire Constabulary.
