Detectives are asking for witnesses to come forward following an alleged road rage incident in Stroud last month.

The incident occurred on Saturday 28th March, at approximately 6.20pm, when a man unloading his van was shouted at by the driver of a car in a lane off Marling Close in Amberley.

The car driver, claiming the van was blocking the road, attempted to deflate the van's tyres before physically assaulting the van driver, who later required hospital treatment.

The suspect then returned to a dark coloured car, similar in shape to an Audi A3, and left the scene.

He is described as a tall white man in his early 50s, with a large build and thinning mousy brown hair.

At the time of the incident, he was wearing a red or burgundy jumper, blue jeans, and brown or tan boots.

Police are encouraging anyone who witnessed the incident or has relevant CCTV or dashcam footage to come forward.
